Ram Gopal Varma unveiled the first look of ‘Phoonk 2′ here at Cinemax Versova on Tuesday.
Varma also announced a contest, as per which the viewer who would be able to watch the movie all alone in the theatre, will be awarded cash prize of Rs 5 lakhs.
The contest will be launched officially on 10th march on the official website of the movie www.phoonk2.in. This contest will be open to people all across India. The age group is restricted to the people who are between 18-60 years of age group.
Phoonk 2 is sequel to his runaway hit ‘Phoonk’. The similar contest was launched for his previous flick ‘Phoonk’. However the Phoonk makers claim that the viewer, who took the challenge, ran away out of the theatre in just 30 minutes.
The earlier contest ran into a scandal when many alleged that the contest was rigged and they never felt scared at all.
To avoid similar controversy, Phoonk 2 makers have adopted a scientific approach this time.
“For Phoonk 2, we are adopting a very scientific method. The contestant will be fitted with an ECG machine while Phoonk 2 plays. The machine will monitor his heartbeat and pulse rate and this will be shown live on a screen outside the theater to both the media and all concerned,” revealed a press release.
